Newfoundland's wild and remote wilderness provides some of the top hunting in North America. The province's Moose population is currently the most dense on the continent with a concentration of more than three moose per square mile. In fact, Ray's is located 1/2 mile from the original site where moose were first introduced into the Province of Newfoundland in the early 1900's and have since gone from a population of 4 to an astonishing number in excess of 150,000. At present, the largest moose taken from our camp was a 58 inch bull.
